Meet Chelse Laqua
Chelse Laqua is a Sleep Consultant and Licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy based in rural North Dakota, a little town called Williston.
But before any title, I’m a wife and a mom of three busy boys.
When I’m not helping families find rest, you’ll likely find me spending time with my husband, our three boys, friends, and our two dogs. I love being outdoors, cooking, gardening, and reading. I deeply value the slower pace and close-knit community that comes with rural living — and that grounded perspective carries into the way I support families.
I know firsthand how overwhelming and exhausting sleepless nights can feel. I understand the fog of sleep deprivation, the bedtime battles that stretch longer than they should, and the emotional weight that comes when everyone in the home is running on empty. Sleep isn’t just about nights — it impacts the entire family’s well-being.
That lived experience, combined with my medical background, shapes the way I care for families.
I’m a sleep consultant based in Williston ND, a hardworking, close-knit community I’m proud to call home.
I support families throughout Williston, Watford City, Sidney, Dickinson, and the surrounding areas, but my work doesn’t stop there.
Through personalized Zoom and phone consultations, I’m able to help families no matter where they’re located. Whether you’re nearby or across the country, you’ll receive the same one-on-one support, guidance, and care to help your child get the rest they need.
How I Became A Sleep Consultant
I didn’t become a sleep consultant because I had it all figured out — I became one because I didn’t.
When my first son was a newborn, my husband and I felt completely lost. We were exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure what was normal or what to do next. Like so many parents, we were just trying to survive the nights. It didn’t take long for us to realize we needed help.
As I began learning more about infant sleep, everything shifted. I saw how foundational sleep truly is — not just for babies, but for parents, marriages, mental health, and overall well-being. Sleep isn’t a luxury. It’s the baseline for healing.
In my work as a physical therapist, I’ve always been passionate about helping people heal and function at their best. Becoming a sleep consultant felt like a natural extension of that calling. Whether it’s a child learning to sleep independently or a parent finally getting restorative rest, sleep creates the space for recovery — physically, emotionally, and mentally.
What started as a desperate season in my own home became a deep conviction: families don’t have to navigate this alone. Individual support changes everything.
A Holistic, Evidence Based approach
No one-size-fits-all schedules. No rigid, unrealistic expectations. No quick fixes that fall apart a week later.
Instead, I focus on:
- Gentle, responsive, and evidence-based methods
- Sustainable, lifelong sleep habits
- Individualized plans tailored to your child and family
- Supporting the whole family – not just the child
Sleep is deeply connected to physical health, emotional regulation, and family dynamics. My goal isn’t just better nights – it’s calmer days, more confident parenting, and a home that feels steadier and more rested.
