The Four Month Sleep Regression | Sleep Solutions for Babies and Infants

The Four Month Sleep Regression

“Sleep regression,” this is a common term I hear being a sleep consultant, and often it is directed toward every circumstance imaginable. If several nights pass with your little one not sleeping well, parents automatically start saying it’s a “regression.” While many people believe there are several sleep regressions, 8-month, 9-month, 1-year regressions, teething and growth spurt regressions, there is not evidence to support this idea.

extending your CHILD’S nap time

Tell me if this scenario sounds familiar… Your baby wakes up in the morning after a solid night’s sleep. You feed her, change her, play with her for a little bit, take her for a little walk outside, then rock her to sleep and put her gently into her crib for her morning nap. They’re unimaginably clever. They will find ways to get what they want and they will repeat them relentlessly. Which is not their fault, obviously. They’re just working off of instinct. They know what they like, and at a young age, they like mom. A lot. I’m …
